International Director of Training
Jim has over 40 years of experience in diagnostic imaging in the disciplines of engineering, field service, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, product development and technical support, with companies including Technicare, Johnson and Johnson Ultrasound, and Acuson.
More recently, he has provided leadership for the technical operations and quality systems at multivendor service organizations; as the executive director of service programs for Unisyn Medical Technologies and as VP of operations and quality at Sonora Medical Systems. Technically trained and experienced on multiple imaging modalities, Jim is regarded as a technical expert on diagnostic ultrasound systems and transducers. He has been a frequent presenter of seminars and workshops at biomedical and clinical engineering meetings on subjects such as testing and quality assurance of ultrasound systems and developing a support strategy for diagnostic imaging equipment.

Managing Director and Group COO
With a background in electronic engineering, and over 30 years’ experience, Darren has held senior positions in medical device management, maintenance, quality and safety, both within the NHS and the commercial sector.
Prior to joining AUE Ltd Darren worked as Service Director for Asteral (now Althea) where he was responsible for setting up and managing the service response desks for MRI, CT, X-Ray and ultrasound service for Europe. More recently, he is responsible for setting up the Multi-Medix Ltd’s EU probe laboratory, and obtaining ISO 13485:2016 certification. He is regarded as a probe expert and has advised several companies and manufacturers on identification of Fake ultrasound probes. To date Darren has published 4 research papers in Ultrasound, with several more imminent. Darren is a member of IPEM and a Registered Clinical Technologist.

Dr Nick Dudley
Research Director UK and Europe
Nick is a registered clinical scientist, NHS medical physicist, with over 30 years-experience in clinical ultrasound. He has over 50 per reviewed publications in ultrasound and is a contributing author to IPEM Report 102 “Quality Assurance of Ultrasound Imaging Systems”.
He is a council member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society and deemed an authority in ultrasound evaluation.
